      bedre at kunne agere i den. Problemet er bare, at vi for at finde =

      nemlig et menneskeskabt kunstigt system. Dvs. at man, f=F8r man =

      en beskrivelse af verden som var klar, gennemskuelig og =

      og det var derfor ikke overraskende finmekanikere, der udfra ideen =

      mekanisk fungerende krop i et mekanisk fungerende univers, =

      efterg=F8re naturens funktionsm=E5de. En af de st=F8rste =

      franskmanden Jacques de Vaucanson, der i 1700-tallet b=E5de skabte =

      vellignende kunstige dyr, der f.eks. kunne spise, og kunstige =

      <P><STRONG>Hvor</STRONG> disse automater i h=F8j grad fungerede =

      forklaringsmodeller for et verdensperspektiv og var med til at =

      fremskridtstanken p=E5 grundlag af teknikkens udvikling, s=E5 blev =

      1900-tallets robot et udtryk for det modsatte. Robotten blev en =
skr=E6kfigur=20
      i fiktionen lige efter f=F8rste verdenskrig, som en reaktion p=E5 =
krigens=20
      r=E6dsler, for=E5rsaget af den effektive teknik. Robotten =
personificerede den=20
      teknologiske trussel og =E5bnede for sp=F8rgsm=E5let: er det =
teknologien, der=20
      styrer os, eller er det os, der styrer teknologien? Fiktionens =
robot blev=20
      snart computerstyret, hvilket syntes at give den en st=F8rre grad =

      autonomi. Hvor maskinen kun kunne udf=F8re =E9n proces, s=E5 kunne =

      styre alle de processer, man kunne programmere den til. Derfor =

      den en universel maskine, ligesom den menneskelige hjerne =96 =

      computeren opbygget efter hvordan man i samtiden troede, at den=20
      menneskelige hjerne fungerede. </P>

      <P><STRONG>=BBDerfor er myten om den t=E6nkende computer ogs=E5 =

      sludder=AB</STRONG> </P></DIV>
      <P><STRONG>Denne </STRONG>sammenstilling af menneske og maskine =

      videre efter anden verdenskrig i teorien om kontrol og =
kommunikation,=20
      bedre kendt som "cybernetics", eller kybernetik. Her sidestilles=20
      computeren med den menneskelige hjerne, idet de begge kan =
beskrives udfra=20
      deres informationsstruktur. Ikke at de er lige komplekse, men de =
fungerer=20
      indenfor samme system. M=E5ske er det derfor, vi har et billede =
af, at den=20
      forbedrede maskine haler ind p=E5 os. Det oplevede vi meget =
direkte, da IBMs=20
      Deep Blue-computer slog verdens bedste skakspiller Gary =
Kasparov.</P>
      <P><STRONG>Var</STRONG> Deep Blue mennesket overlegent, n=E5r nu =
computeren=20
      netop var modelleret over hjernens neurale netv=E6rk? Nej, for =
hjernen og=20
      vores forst=E5else af hjernen, er ikke det samme. N=E5r man =
efterligner=20
      hjernen, sker det p=E5 baggrund af vores tekniske horisont. Derfor =

      Kunstig Intelligens et meget godt billede p=E5, hvad vi kan, men =
ikke p=E5=20
      hvad vi er. Vi bygger kort sagt det, vi teknisk forst=E5r. </P>

      virkeligheden. Vi vil derfor til stadighed n=E6rme os en =

      hjernen, fordi vi kan justere p=E5 det kunstige system, men vi =
kommer aldrig=20
      til at forst=E5 hjernen helt, idet vi kun kan afl=E6se den med det =
sprog, vi=20

      udgangspunkt er det velkendte system. Derfor er myten om den =

      blev den russiske stormester Kasparov kritiseret for at have =

      vi retter os ind efter teknologien snarere end omvendt. </P>
      <P><STRONG>Den ydre</STRONG> sammensmeltning med teknologien =

      skolen, kontoret og hjemmet. Der m=E6rker man i ryg, h=E5ndled og =

      kroppen ikke er kompatibel med maskinen =96 at kroppen er i vejen =

      optimale kommunikation mellem hjerne og cyberspace. Men gennem =

      gennembrud med det klonede f=E5r Dolly og har siden aff=F8dt =
diskussioner om=20
      kloning og gensplejsning af b=E5de mennesker og dyr. I lyset af =
den globale=20
      =F8konomiske og teknologiske udvikling har genteknologiens brug =

      menneskekroppen typisk aff=F8dt to typer af scenarier: P=E5 den =

      skr=E6kscenarie, de fleste af os vel frygter, med hjerned=F8de =

      organtransplantationsforskningens bedrifter, er det nu muligt at =

      blevet en efterspurgt ressource. Vi er blevet kompatible med =
teknologien,=20
      fordi vi kan beskrives som informationsstrukturer. Det kan man =
direkte=20
      afl=E6se i sproget, hvor f.eks. gener beskrives som =
programm=F8rer, immun- og=20
      nervesystemet forarbejder informationer, arveegenskaber ligger i =
den=20
      genetiske kode, sk=E6bnen der afg=F8res af livets program etc. =

      s=E5kaldte koder kan isoleres udenfor mennesket, betyder det, at =

      genetisk modificerede krop kan patenteres =96 alts=E5 =

      som alle andre varer. Det skete allerede i 1987, da Harvard =

      patent p=E5 liv i form af en genmodificeret mus, og genlyder i Det =

      <P><STRONG>Men</STRONG> menneskemaskinen, eller cyborgen, som den =

      kaldes, er ikke kun en fremtidsvision. Vi kender vel alle nogen i=20
      omgangskredsen, der har f=E5et indopereret mekaniske, elektroniske =
eller=20
      kunstige organiske dele i kroppen som hofter, kn=E6, =
blodkarproteser,=20
      h=F8reproteser, pacemaker, kranieplader, =F8reknogler, korsb=E5nd, =
kunstige=20
      hudkulturer osv. Gennem tekniske indgreb i den naturlige krop er =
vi blevet=20
      modstandsdygtige over for naturens luner og har dermed forl=E6nget =
livet og=20
      udskudt d=F8den =96 men p=E5 bekostning af hvad? Var Kasparovs =
nederlag et=20
      udtryk for, at mennesket har underlagt sig teknologien og nu ikke =
l=E6ngere=20
      kan hamle op med maskinen? </P>
      <P><STRONG>Nej</STRONG>, vi har aldrig kunnet hamle op med =
maskinen p=E5=20
      maskinens pr=E6misser: vi skal motiveres, vi kan distraheres, vi =
husker=20
      d=E5rligt, vi formidler og opfanger st=E6rkt subjektivt osv. Men =
det =E5bner for=20
      et andet interessant sp=F8rgsm=E5l, nemlig, hvorfor et skakspil er =
det=20
      ultimative instrument til m=E5ling af menneskelig intuition eller =
kreativ=20
      =E5ndfuldhed. Maskinen ville st=E5 anderledes p=E5 bar bund, hvis =
vi m=F8dte den i=20
      poetiske dyster, hvor disciplinerne hed k=E6rlighedssange, =
dagdr=F8mme eller=20
      musik. Men indr=F8mmet, s=E5dan et forslag vil mange sikkert finde =
lettere=20
      absurd =96 eller useri=F8st. Vi forfordeler skakbr=E6ttet, og det =
g=F8r vi nok,=20
      fordi den logik, der ligger bag spillets regler, bedre samstemmer =
med et=20
      teknologisk rationale end med den poetiske tanke. Virkeligheden =

      stadig mere teknologisk, og vi bliver stadig mere effektive. Ved =

      opretholde dyster som den store skak dyst, kan vi stadig foregive =
at st=E5=20
      overfor maskinen, selv om den allerede er en uadskillelig del af =
os. </P>
      <P><STRONG>S=E5</STRONG> lad os indr=F8mme, at teknologien bliver =
en stadig=20
      st=F8rre del af os, men samtidig tage afstand fra, at det teknisk =
rationelle=20
      perspektiv uden videre, er sandhedens m=E5lestok. Et system er =
blot et=20
      perspektiv p=E5 verden, der skaber en sammenh=E6ng mellem =
forskellige=20
      st=F8rrelser. En sammenh=E6ng, man ofte forveksler med sandheden. =
Der findes=20
      ikke nogen endegyldig absolut sandhed, kun systemer der hj=E6lper =
os til at=20
      skabe sammenh=E6nge i en kaotisk verden =96 det gjorde Niels Bohr =
